The anonymisation of qualitative data is a challenging task: on the one hand, the removal of information is necessary to protect personal rights, while on the other hand, information of social scientific interest is lost in the course of this removal.

To meet these challenges, Qualiservice has developed the concept of flexible anonymisation. The concept is complemented by the semi-automatic tool QualiAnon, which supports researchers in anonymising/pseudonymising qualitative text data.

In this interactive workshop, participants will learn about the concept of flexible anonymisation and receive a practical introduction to the QualiAnon tool. The focus will be on a live demonstration that illustrates the use of the tool.
