Qualiservice supports researchers in managing their research data. We focus on the necessary steps for data archiving and data sharing. Even before starting a project, we offer researchers advice in planning necessary resources and calculating expected costs, which should be included in the project proposal. We give advice on anonymization and contextualization of data and discuss issues of data protection and research ethics.
We aim at efficiently integrating data preparation, archiving and sharing into all phases of the research project, thus preventing task overload at the end of the project. A research data management plan usefully supports data organization. To provide researchers with ‘best practice’ solutions, Qualiservice collaborates with ten other partners on the development of flexible protocols to support data organization (Domain-Data-Protocols) (DDP-Bildung).
In June 2019 Qualiservice was accredited by the German Data Forum (RatSWD) and works on the basis of its quality assurance criteria (in German). Qualiservice is committed to the DFG Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice and takes into account the FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship and the OECD Principles and Guidelines for Access to Research Data from Public Funding.
