Managing Data

Qualiservice supports researchers in managing their research data. We focus on the necessary steps for data archiving and data sharing. We offer researchers advice in planning the necessary resources and calculating the expected costs even before the project begins, so that this can be included in the project proposal. We also provide advice on the anonymization and contextualization of data as well as issues related to data privacy and research ethics.

Our goal is the efficient integration of data preparation, archiving, and sharing into all phases of the research project. This helps to prevent task overload at the end of the project. A research data management plan is a practical way to support data organization. To provide researchers with ‘best practice’ solutions, Qualiservice collaborates with ten other partners on the development of flexible protocols to support data organization (domain-data-protocols) (DDP-Bildung).

In June 2019, Qualiservice was accredited by the German Data Forum (RatSWD) and adheres to its quality assurance criteria. Qualiservice is committed to the DFG Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice and takes into account the FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship and the OECD Principles and Guidelines for Access to Research Data from Public Funding.
